QUARTER LIFE CRISIS
Written and performed by QBoy (Marcos Brito) and Wayne Latham
|
The UK's hottest leading gay rapper QBoy is not shy by any means and at the age
of 25 exudes confidence and a cute cocky nature that is both sexy and witty,
prominently displayed in the title of his debut EP release that covers the
humour, attitudes and experiences of the "half Essex, half Spanish but 100%
queer" rapper.
With more P.A. dates in Europe all year and a full album to follow, QBoy looks
to make waves in the mainstream media, providing an interesting and
entertaining alternative to the current music scene.

HOUSTON BERNARD

SAY GOODBYE
Written by Houston Bernard

OH BOY RELAX

RIDE IT COWBOY
Written and performed by Houston Bernard
|
 |
Unloading himself all over his audiences is what Houston Bernard does and he has
no intention of resting. His overtly sexual personality has many flocking to
see what this hugely controversial Bi-porno ElectroPunk Rap Performance Artist
is all about. Mr. Bernard is a tall, curly-haired lad in a sweat stained
wife-beater that struts around stage with a guitar, firing off some hot metal
riffs and foul-mouthed raps in a deep baritone voice: "Shove it in your mouth!
Pump it in your asz!". As if things weren't sleazy enough already, the rocker
boy drops his guitar and sometimes his drawers to begin wiggling his cheeks to
the beats in a pair of tiny pink panties. By the time the music bursts into a
full-on gangsta-rap jam and the whip cream canister comes out, he tells the
audience that he is going to cum in their mouths. The crowd of stylishly
dressed yuppie girls, Punks, Hipsters, Goths, hip hoppers, pretty bois and even
more stylishly dressed transvestites don't know what to make of the crazed
creature slithering suggestively in front of them. So goes the performance of
New York City's Houston Bernard. The Brooklyn-based musician who travels
thousands of miles to arouse or confuse his curious but lively audiences. As to
whether or not Houston's first impression is a good one, that probably depends
on whom you ask: one of the bois and girls flocking around Houston for
autographs, the laughing "str8" guys or the mixed couples cowering in the
corner debating whether or not to approach him to take him home for some play.

GREGORY DOUGLASS
|
UPSIDE DOWN
Written and performed by Gregory Douglass
|
Gregory Douglass' evocative amalgamation of contemporary folk, pop, and rock has
been compared to Tori Amos, Jeff Buckley, Patty Griffin and Peter Gabriel. With
five critically acclaimed, independent CDs under his belt, the 24-year old
Vermont native evokes the songwriting skills of an "old soul" and "the voice of
an angel" (Seven Days).
His intense, high-energy performances as both a solo acoustic artist or with
his full band are consistently solid. Douglass numerous accolades include being
a finalist for both the 2005 International Songwriting Competition and 2004
Independent Music Awards; and winner of the 2003 GrammyFest in New York City,
as well as being the inaugural performer on the American Red Cross 2003 "Save A
Life Tour. Douglass has toured with They Might Be Giants, and been co-billed
with Tracy Chapman, Melissa Ferrick, Jason Mraz, and Martin Sexton to name a
few. His fifth and newest album Stark (August, 2005) is intimate, raw, and
travels through poignant, haunting soundscapes.
